The trajectory of a leader. In year 1967, a young worker from la Bisbal d´Empordà (Girona) takes the decision to start a locksmith´s shop, which doesn´t take long to specialize itself into manufacturing residential doors. This man is Angel Mir Darnaculleta and is just laying the foundations for the present company Angel Mir-Portes Bisbal SL. The passion for innovation and the devotion of the work well done turn the local workshop into a flourishing nationwide industry.

In the early 80s, the fore mentioned industrial door becomes the specialty of the firm, dominating the market in a short time. New production plants, more and better technical means and a major expansion of the workforce allow that Angel Mir opens international markets, becoming in the mid-90s the European leader of industrial doors.  This spectacular growth has been maintained gradually until the present, and now the company takes part in all kinds of economic sectors, increasing continuously the range of products and, at the same time, expanding the marketing of the products into new countries.

During more than 50 years of its history, Angel Mir has lived through the evolution of the market, from a traditional manufacturing to a modern productive model, aiming to satisfy, above all, the customer’s needs. For this reason, all the research, the development and the innovation of the industrial doors, residentia doors and loading bay equipment are based on the requirements and demands of each sector.
